How about our hearts?
Most people’s hearts are cluttered,
filled with every sort of concerns,
some of them valid,
others unimportant.
These days we run around
trying to perform our tasks,
beating deadlines,
but also spending a lot of time
just fidgeting with our gadgets.
Our interconnected world
has bred in us a horror vacui—
a fear of empty spaces.
The problem is,
we tend to end up with cluttered hearts,
hearts with no more space
for silence, for the sacred.
Do you think this applies to you?
If so, what can you do
to de-clutter your cluttered heart?
What initial baby steps
can you take towards the right direction?
