We begin by tracing the baby steps
our Lord took–those first uncertain moments
when he caught a glimpse
of what he was meant to be.
We will also meet our third Lenten guide,
Mary, the mother of Jesus.
We will now read the account
of the Finding at the Temple.
We’ve heard this story so often before,
so it’ll be helpful to make an extra effort
to slow down as you read the Gospel passage.
Again, we suggest you play some music
as you recall this event
and read the passage
as prayerfully as you can.
