While we mourn the death of Jesus
on Holy Saturday,
we also already begin to look forward
to the Resurrection on Easter.

The idea of “infection”–
just like “distancing” and “washing”–
is certainly relevant these days,
but it sounds like a strange theme
for the last day of our retreat.
But when you think about it,
It is very much part of the person of Jesus–
evident even in the way he lived his life.
Jesus was no stranger to infection
because he was a friend to the infected.
