It’s not easy to wash other people’s feet.
It’s hard to humble ourselves and reach out.
Many things get in the way
of our following Jesus.
We need the Lord’s help.
For the closing prayer of this first day of our retreat,
we will use a song by the band Coldplay
called “Fix You,”
here performed by the acoustic group, Boyce Avenue.

Imagine our Lord singing the words to you
because, when we think about it,
that’s exactly what he intends to do for us
through these mysteries of Holy Week.
As you listen to the song,
think of your response to the Lord.
Pray for the grace of healing,
so that we can follow him more closely.
